    Grapat provides material without instructions, open-ended and favours free and autonomous play.  Grapat suggests material that encourages, invites and stimulates the creation of several fantastic, realistic and invented little worlds. All Grapat Wooden Toys are painted by hand, homemade, surrounded by land, fire, rivers and many children nearby, who inspire us daily.

    Grapat Wooden Toys can be used alone, with other Grapat Loose Parts, in addition to other branded toys and or, other simple supplies from around the house. When you combine Grapat Wooden Toys with other open-ended toys (including Sarah’s silks and educational counting numbers), resources from around the home (including egg cartons, muffin trays or cardboard rolls) or recyclable materials (including cardboard rolls or the beautiful packaging the Grapat sets arrive in) can have great purpose in learning fine motor skills, gross motor skills, object permanence, cause and effect, processing of memories and more.

    Grapat is a small family project founded by Casiana and Jordi, that materialized from them leaving the city to live in a natural environment. The Grapat Together Set from the 2021 collection won a PAL award in the US!

    Grapat provides materials without instructions; the only suggestion is to do it slowly, without worrying about time. Free play, Loose Parts, Mandalas, Nins, open and unstructured material will surprise you daily because of its ability to transform into whatever they decide and which is the fruit of their internal needs.

    1 Year Old Play Ideas

    - Stacking as high as you can

    - Unthreading off Sarah’s silks

    - Coin Drop using the Grapat packaging with a whole cut out in the size of the coins and rings

    - Hide and Seek, using muffin trays to hide the loose parts in and place Sarah’s Silks over the top

    - Placing the Grapat sets in a sensory box as a sensory base

    - Grapat rings are also a great solid teether

    3 Year Old Play Ideas
    - Small world play, combine with Sarah’s silks to create a landscape of the sea, sand and grassy hills.

    - Using different rings and coins as rocks, waves, fires, and towers in some small world play.

    The wood for Grapat Wooden Toys come from sustainable forests. The dyes are water-based and non-toxic in compliance with ISO8124 in Australia.

    The finishes used on Grapat toys are made with waxes and oils of vegetable origin. The oils can have a strong aroma at first, but it loses it with the days. Enjoy the smell!
