Grapat Little Things

Grapat Little Things is a set of small handcrafted solid wood pieces in six colours. As open ended loose parts they support imaginative and small world play, storytelling, and learning through counting and sorting, letting children invent their own characters, expressions and roles.

The set comes in six colours: yellow, blue, red, orange, green and purple. Each colour is available as a separate option, so you can build a rainbow collection or add a single shade to loose parts you already own for more open ended play.

Their simple, unstructured form leaves the play open ended. Children use them for small world scenes, storytelling and role play, and to practise counting, sorting and grouping by colour. Because nothing is prescribed, they can imagine the gender, expression and role of each piece, supporting emotional development.

They are handcrafted from solid wood using sustainable materials. The colours come from water-based dyes, and Grapat sources locally grown timber from managed forests. Because each piece is finished by hand, small natural variations are part of the character rather than a fault.

Grapat is a small family run workshop in Catalonia, northern Spain, founded by Casiana and Jordi. Each toy is made with care and attention to detail, inspired by Waldorf principles, and packaged using recycled and sustainable materials.
