Sarah’s Silks Giant Strawberry Playsilk

This piece is made in a new Strawberry blend, a fresh berry toned colourway, and it comes in our giant size. The extra generous dimensions are what set it apart, giving children a large expanse of silk to work with rather than a small square.

The large size is made for big play. Children drape it over chairs and tables to build forts, dens, and hideaways, or spread it out to mark off an expansive play space on the floor. It quickly turns an ordinary room into the setting for their next adventure.

The Strawberry blend is a warm, berry inspired mix that gives the silk a bright, cheerful look. Because our colours are blended and hand finished, the tones shift and shade across the fabric, so each giant silk has its own slightly unique character.

It is well suited to shared play. The roomy dimensions mean several children can gather under it as a fort roof or hold its edges together to make a billowing canopy, so it works nicely for siblings, playdates, and small groups at home.

Silk folds down far smaller than its open size suggests, so even the giant scrunches into a small bundle for a shelf or basket. Keep it out of harsh sunlight when stored, and it will be ready to shake out and billow into forts again and again.

Hand wash it in warm water with a little mild soap, then hang it to dry away from direct heat. Gentle handling protects the hand finished colour. A light press with a medium iron will smooth out fold lines and bring back the silk's soft sheen.
