What shapes are in the 36 Piece Rainbow Shape Expansion Pack?

Large equilateral triangles, right-angle triangles, quarter circles, pentagons, trapezoids and rhombi, all in rainbow colours. These are angles the standard square-and-triangle packs don't include.

Is this a standalone set or an expansion?

It's an expansion. With 36 feature shapes and no basic squares, it adds new angles to a collection you already own rather than starting one. Pair it with a Creative or Starter pack.

What can children build with these shapes?

Quarter circles become winding roads, domes and bridge supports; large right-angle triangles make rocket fins, car ramps and supports. The set unlocks curves and 3D forms flat tiles can't make.

Does it connect with pastel Connetix and Magna-Tiles?

Yes. The shapes click onto rainbow and pastel Connetix, ball runs and base plates. They also join Magna-Tiles, with slight differences in size and colour tone.

What does it teach?

The new shapes bring maths into play: children explore fractions, angles and how pieces tessellate, and practise creative problem-solving in 2D and 3D.

Is it safe, and what age is it for?

Tiles are non-toxic ABS that is BPA, lead and phthalate free, with magnets ultrasonically welded and riveted inside. Ages 3+; it has strong magnets and small parts, so keep it from children who mouth toys and seek help if a magnet is swallowed.
