The beautiful figures are made in a small manufactory in Georgia, which has been producing high-quality and educationally valuable wooden toys since 1997. With much love and dedication, toys that capture the soul of animals and people have been produced there for over 35 years. Only local woods of the highest quality are used. The edges are rounded and finely sanded in several work steps so that they are pleasant and soft to the touch. Finally, they are painted with natural dyes (Biofa) and finally polished with high-quality oil. The workshop is characterised by inclusion in the small community, fair pay and a good and friendly working atmosphere. This is how sustainable toys are created that are loved and passed on from generation to generation. Each toy is simple enough to inspire imaginative play, but accurate enough to be realistic. It is handmade in a small Georgian workshop with more than 35 years of woodcraft behind it. Each dragon is carved from local wood, its edges rounded and sanded smooth, then painted by hand and polished with oil, so every one differs slightly in grain and finish.

Is the dragon a solid, single piece?

Yes. The entire dragon, from head to tail, is shaped from one block of wood with no glued wings or spikes to come loose. The surface is smooth and the corners softened, so it is well suited to children who can safely handle a larger solid figure with supervision.

How do I care for the wooden dragon?

Wipe it with a dry or barely damp cloth and dry it right away. Keep it out of water and never machine wash it, and store it away from long spells of direct sunlight so the colours stay vivid. An occasional dust keeps the oiled finish looking its best.
