The goose belongs among the poultry, standing tall beside hens, ducks and ducklings in a farmyard or pond setting. Its raised 9.1cm height and long neck give it a proud, alert look, so children often cast it as the noisy guardian of the flock.

It measures 9.1cm high, 8.1cm long and 2.5cm wide, taller than most of the farm birds. The carved base under its feet spreads the weight of the upright neck, so the goose stands firmly on a table or shelf without leaning or tipping.

Each goose is a single carved piece with no fixed role, so a child decides whether it guards the barn, leads the flock or waddles through a story. This open-ended, Waldorf-style approach encourages imagination and simple narrative play rather than one set function.

It is made from local wood in a small Georgian workshop, with edges rounded and finely sanded for a smooth feel. The colour comes from natural Biofa dyes finished with oil, so the wood grain remains visible and each goose has a slightly unique look.

Yes. The entire goose, including its long neck and head, is carved from one piece of wood, so nothing can detach. The corners are softened through repeated sanding, making it suitable for toddlers upward who can safely handle a small solid figure under supervision.

Wipe it with a dry cloth, using a lightly damp one only for marks, then dry it immediately. Keep it away from water and dishwashers, and store it out of long direct sun so the natural colours and oiled surface stay bright and warm.
