Londji Cluck, Cluck The Fox Pocket Game

In cooperative games for kids, everyone works together against the game instead of each other. Here players roll the dice and decide whether to rescue an egg, save a hen, or watch the fox move along the path, so the whole group wins or loses together as one team.

The box measures 16.4 x 16.4 x 5 cm, a compact travel format that fits in a bag for trips, cafes or grandparents' houses. It is Londji's first board game sized to take everywhere, so play can start wherever the family happens to land.

Londji gives a recommended age from 4 years, and it is not suitable for children under three because of small parts. At four, children can follow the dice, count spaces and take part in the shared decisions the game asks of the group each turn.

On each roll the dice shows if the team saves one egg, two eggs, or one of the hens, or instead moves the fox further along its path. Players talk through the best choice together, which is where the cooperative teamwork of the game comes in.

The game introduces early numbers as children count eggs and spaces, and it teaches the give-and-take of cooperative play. Making a shared decision each turn builds patience, turn-taking and simple planning, all without any single player winning against the others.

The pieces are made from FSC paper and recycled cardboard, illustrated by canseixanta and produced in Barcelona. Keep the cards dry and return them to the small box after each game so the whole set stays together and ready for the next trip.
