Sarah's Silks Mermaid Tail Large Blossom

The large tail measures 30 inches from waist to tip, a full-length shape sewn from Jacquard silk. Its elastic waistband stretches across a 20 to 27.5 inch waist, which suits most five to seven year olds. The extra length gives older children room to stride and twirl while the silk trails softly behind them.

This one is hand-painted in the Blossom colorway, a soft floral blend of pinks and warm tones. Because the paint is laid by hand, the color pattern varies slightly on every tail. Blossom sits in the same family as the Blossom garlands, wrist streamers and streamers, so the pieces style together.

It was made to be styled alongside the matching Blossom garlands, wrist streamers and streamers. A child might wear the tail, drape a garland over the shoulders and wave a streamer while pretending to swim. Adding a play silk as a top wrap or head scarf rounds out the sea look without a fixed costume.

The 30 inch length and 20 to 27.5 inch elastic waist are cut for most five to seven year olds. A younger child can still wear it, though the longer tail may trail on the floor. For a shorter tail sized for three to four year olds, the 25 inch small tails are the closer match.
