HolzWald Mother

She is a standing human figure made to join family and farm play. Set among your wooden toy animals and other people, she becomes the grown-up in the story who tends the animals, gathers the children, and gives small-world scenes a caregiver.

She stands 15.5cm tall, with a footprint of 4.8cm by 2.5cm. That height makes her one of the taller pieces, so she reads clearly as an adult beside shorter children and animal figures in the same collection.

She is scaled to match HolzWald farm and family pieces, so she looks natural leading a flock or standing by the barn. As an open-ended figure with no fixed role, children decide whether she is farmer, mother or storyteller in each game.

She is carved from a single piece of local wood, with edges rounded and sanded smooth. Her clothing and features are coloured with natural Biofa dyes and sealed with a quality oil, giving a soft, matte surface that is pleasant to hold.

Clean her with a dry cloth, using a barely damp cloth only for marks and drying at once. Keep her out of water and away from dishwashers. Storing her out of long direct sunlight protects the dyed and oiled finish over time.

She is handmade in a small Georgian workshop that has carved wooden figures since 1997. Because each one is worked by hand, small differences in grain and finish mean your mother figure is subtly unique rather than machine-identical.
