What's in the Connetix Transport Pack?

One reversible light-grey transport base, two clear motion bases with real rubber wheels, and a range of pastel tile shapes, squares, triangles, doors, windows and rectangles, plus an inspiration booklet, to build vehicle bodies on top.

How are the bases different from a plain car pack?

The transport base is large and reversible for bigger builds like trucks and trains, while the two clear motion bases have real rubber wheels for smaller cars. Together they cover a wider range of vehicles than a single car base.

Do the bases fit any Connetix tiles?

Yes. Standard Connetix tiles from any range clip onto the bases, so you can rebuild trucks, ambulances, fire engines, aircraft and trains from whatever tiles you own.

Is it compatible with rainbow Connetix and Magna-Tiles?

Yes. The tiles and bases click onto rainbow Connetix, so the pack folds into an existing collection. The tiles also join Magna-Tiles, with slight differences in size and colour.

What will children learn with it?

Building vehicles brings in STEAM ideas of wheels, motion, weight and balance as children test which designs roll fastest. Vehicle play also feeds storytelling and small-world games.

Is it safe, and what age is it for?

Tiles are non-toxic ABS that is BPA, lead and phthalate free, with magnets ultrasonically welded and riveted inside. Ages 3+; it has strong magnets and small parts, so keep it from children who mouth toys and seek help if a magnet is swallowed.
