What's in the 28 Piece Connetix Light Star Pack?

A mix of pentagons, squares and equilateral triangles in all eight bright colours, plus one rechargeable light-up magnetic tile. The pentagons let children build star and ball shapes that the standard square-and-triangle packs cannot make.

How does the light tile work?

The tile has a button and three dimming settings. Light one side to glow through a single face, or light both sides to make a whole build burst with colour. It recharges by cable, so there are no batteries to replace.

What can children explore with light?

Shining light through the bevelled tiles turns play into a STEAM lightshow: children experiment with colour mixing, refractions, shadows and optical illusions, and set the mood from a calm bedtime glow to a dark-room disco.

Does it fit the rest of my Connetix collection?

Yes. Every piece connects with the wider Connetix range, so you can drop the light tile into an existing tower, Ferris wheel or house to light it from within. The pentagons also add new angles to older sets.

What can we build with it?

Children make star-lights, houses, animals, Ferris wheels and 3D shapes, then light them up. The pack shows best inside a pillow fort or under a blanket, where the glow through the coloured tiles really stands out.

What age is it for, and is it safe?

Suitable for ages 3 and up. Tiles are the non-toxic, bevelled Connetix design that is BPA, lead and phthalate free, with magnets ultrasonically welded and riveted inside. It contains small parts, strong magnets and a rechargeable tile, so keep it from children who mouth toys and supervise charging.
