Grimm’s Balls Small Rainbow Set of 12

This is a set of twelve solid wooden balls in bright rainbow colours, packed in a calico bag. At 35 mm each they are sized for a variety of marble runs and bridge the gap between the larger Grimm's wooden balls and the smaller Grimm's wooden marbles.

The balls are made from maple wood and finished with a non toxic water based colour stain. Since wood is a natural material, the grain and colour differ slightly from ball to ball, so every one is a little unique. These variations are a normal feature of the wood, not defects.

Grimm's give an age group of 3 years and up. The set contains small balls suited to marble runs and sorting games, which work best for children beyond the stage of putting toys in their mouths. Keep them away from younger siblings and supervise where needed.

The rainbow balls roll smoothly through marble runs and are well suited to sorting and colour matching. Placed on Grimm's sorting boards they become a three dimensional matching puzzle, and balanced on Grimm's building rings they turn into a balance game. The open ended design invites many ways to play.
