Why do I need 12 extra balls? Isn’t the ones in the starter set enough?

If you’ve ever spent your arvo on your hands and knees searching under the sofa or the fridge for a runaway ball, you’ll know why! These replacement packs are a total lifesaver for when the original ones go on a permanent "holiday." Plus, having 12 balls means more kids can play at once without fighting over who gets the red one.

Are these balls bouncy? My toddler loves throwing things.

These are solid wooden balls designed for racing through the fluted tubes of your Connetix Ball Run. They’re not bouncy like a rubber ball, which is actually a blessing because it means they won't bounce off the walls and knock over your expensive floor lamps! They have a lovely weight to them that makes a satisfying "clack" as they go down the stairs.

Can these balls fit in other brands’ ball runs?

They are specifically designed for the Connetix range, but because they are standard wooden ball size, they generally work with other major magnetic tile ball runs. However, to get the smoothest ride and that perfect speed, we recommend sticking with the official Connetix ones. They also pair perfectly with our Rainbow LED Balls for a nighttime race!

Will these balls survive being chewed on by a teething baby?

While they’re made of non-toxic materials, they are a choking hazard for kids under 3 due to their size. If you’ve got a little crawler around, keep these in the Trofast bin when not in use. For the older kids, they’re super durable and can handle plenty of play without the paint chipping off easily.

How do I clean them if they get sticky with Vegemite fingers?

Just a quick wipe with a damp microfibre cloth will do the trick. Don’t soak them in the sink or chuck them in the dishwasher, as being wood, they might swell or the paint might suffer. Melbourne mums swear by a quick spot-clean to keep them ready for the next build.

We’re in Sydney; if I order now, will they arrive for the weekend?

If you order before 10am on a business day, we’ll get them out of our Melbourne warehouse the same day! For Sydney metro, it’s usually 3-5 business days for standard shipping. If you’re desperate, Express will usually get them to you in 2-3 business days.

Do the different colors move at different speeds?

Science says they should all be the same, but try telling that to a 4-year-old! It’s a great way to introduce basic physics and "velocity" while they race the blue ball against the red one. It’s incidental learning at its best, and keeps them engaged far longer than a screen would.

Is shipping free for just the balls?

Standard shipping is $9.99, but if you top up your order with a set of Rainbow LED Balls or a new tile pack to reach $99, you’ll score free AU shipping (T&Cs apply). It’s a great way to get more gear and save some dollarydoos on the postage.
