Grapat Mandalas

Mandalas are themed sets of small wooden pieces — eggs, mushrooms, flowers, honeycombs, trees, raindrops — usually 36 pieces in graded colours. Children arrange them into circular mandala patterns, then sweep them up and start again.

Transient art is temporary picture-making with loose parts — you build a design, enjoy it, then take it apart. Mandalas are ideal for it, encouraging symmetry, pattern and creativity without any fixed end result to keep.
