Grimm’s Hearts Rainbow

The set comprises 13 wooden pieces in rainbow colours, including heart shapes held within a three piece wooden frame that is also heart shaped. Together they form a puzzle like set that children can take apart, rearrange and rebuild in many ways.

The smooth, rounded hearts are made for sculptural stacks and open ended building. Children can use them on their own or combine them with other Grimm's blocks and loose parts to invent new structures and imaginary scenes as they play.

Handling the rounded heart shapes supports fine motor skills, hand eye coordination and colour recognition. The calming, tactile pieces also invite quiet, focused play as children experiment with balance and arrangement at their own pace and confidence level.

Each piece is made from lime wood and finished with a non toxic water based colour stain or a plant based oil finish. Because the hearts are handmade, small differences between pieces are normal and expected.

The frame measures about 28cm long and 4cm high. Individual hearts range from roughly 5 to 7.5cm long and 2 to 4cm high, a comfortable size for young children to grasp, stack and rearrange.

The set is recommended for children aged 3 years and over. It suits younger children building fine motor confidence as well as older children who enjoy more elaborate sculptural stacking and colour play.
