How is the Balloon Ball Sea used with play silks and balloons?

You slip an inflated balloon inside the silk cover and it becomes a soft, gentle ball. It comes from the same mulberry silk family as our play silks, so many children float and toss it alongside their silks and streamers as part of the same open ended, active games.

What is the Sea balloon ball made from?

The cover is hand sewn from 100 percent pure mulberry silk in the Sea design. Silk gives the balloon inside a soft skin and a little extra weight, so it drifts slowly and is far easier for toddlers and preschoolers to catch than a bare balloon.

How big does it get when inflated?

Once the balloon inside is fully blown up, the ball measures about 10 inches across. The silk stretches to fit that size, staying light enough to float on a soft toss while being big enough for small arms to hug and carry around the house.

Is a balloon supplied with it?

Yes. Each Sea Balloon Ball arrives with one balloon, so it is ready for play as soon as you open it. When that balloon gives out, simply slide a fresh one into the silk cover and the toy is as good as new again.

Why is a silk covered balloon better indoors?

The silk slows the balloon down and softens every bump, so it is quieter and kinder to furniture than a bare balloon bouncing around. That gentle, slow motion also makes catching much more achievable for little ones, which is why it is a hit at our play dates.

What age is the Sea Balloon Ball for?

It is intended for children aged three and up. Keep any deflated or burst balloon pieces well away from younger children, and supervise play so the ball stays a soft, happy part of active indoor games and gentle catching practice.
