Sarah's Silks Advent Calendar Illustrated By Phoebe Wahl- Phoebe

It is hand sewn from pure mulberry silk and illustrated by artist Phoebe Wahl. The soft fabric and painted artwork make it a decorative wall piece your family can bring out and enjoy again every winter season.

The calendar holds twenty five pockets, and each one measures about ten centimetres square, or four inches by four inches. You fill a pocket a day with small treasures, notes, or tiny toys as the days count down toward the holidays.

Families use the calendar to mark both Advent and Solstice. Children tuck a small surprise into each silk pocket and open one every morning, turning the countdown into a gentle daily ritual all the way through December.

It is made to hang easily on a wall, hook, or door, and it looks lovely in a living room or a child's bedroom. Hanging it at child height lets young ones reach each pocket on their own during the countdown.

The maker notes small parts and a long cord that carries a strangulation hazard, so it is not intended for children under three years old. Keep it hung out of reach of infants and use it together with older children.

The artwork was created by illustrator Phoebe Wahl, whose seasonal winter scenes give the calendar its storybook feel. Because each piece is sewn and finished by hand, small variations in the silk are part of its handmade character.
