Sarah's Silks Mini Playsilks Illustrated

These are a limited edition Mini Playsilk printed with an exclusive illustration by artist Michelle Mackay. The original Forest Fairy print sets fairies against a watercolour background of autumnal forest colours, with the little characters gathering fallen leaves, acorns, and mushrooms across the silk.

The illustrated range comes in four artworks: Forest Fairy, Star Fairy, Flower Fairy, and Kelp Forest. Each carries the same watercolour, storybook feel, so you can pick a favourite scene or collect several for layered small world play and dress up around the house.

Each silk measures 54 by 54 centimetres, a handy square that a child can wear as a cape, tie into a skirt, spread out as a play mat, or drape over blocks and figures to build a woodland scene for imaginative play.

They are recommended for children aged three and up. At that age little ones can knot, drape, and layer the silk themselves, weaving the printed fairies and forest details into their own made up adventures and quiet storytelling on their own terms.

The playsilks are coloured with non toxic, eco friendly dyes, so the artwork stays soft and rich without harsh chemicals. The result is a gentle, natural looking print that feels lovely in the hand and holds up to plenty of everyday imaginative play.

Hand wash the silk in warm water with a mild shampoo or a drop of dish soap, then hang it to dry. A medium iron restores the natural shine and smooths the fabric so the printed fairy scene stays crisp and clear.
