Beck Traffic Parking Sign

The parking sign marks the spot where cars can stop and park in a small world town. Children set it beside a garage or car park so vehicles have a place to rest between trips, adding a quiet corner to an otherwise busy road layout.

The Beck wooden traffic signs sit together well. Stand the parking sign by a garage, then place the freeway sign on the road leading in, so children can drive from the highway and pull into a parking bay, linking two parts of their town.

It stands 100mm in height and is made from maple wood, matching the height of the other flat Beck signs. Its base holds it upright next to a road or garage so it stays put while children move cars in and out of the space.

A parking sign gives cars somewhere to go when they are not driving. Children learn that vehicles do not just circle forever; they park, wait and set off again. This small idea adds order to play and prompts stories about arriving, stopping and heading home.

It carries a recommended age of 3 and over and is not suitable for children under 36 months, since small parts are a choking hazard. Older preschoolers can place and move the sign safely as part of their own road scenes.

Keep the maple wood away from water. Wipe it with a dry or barely damp cloth and dry it at once if needed, then store it somewhere dry and out of strong sun so the wood stays flat and the print stays clear.
