    Are Sarah's Silks made from real silk?

    Yes, Sarah's Silks playsilks and dress-ups are made from 100% pure mulberry silk, dyed with non-toxic, eco-friendly dyes and safety-tested to US and EU standards. Real silk is stronger, lighter and drapes far better than synthetic scarves, which is why it holds up to years of play while keeping its sheen and colour.

    What can you do with Sarah's Silks playsilks?

    Almost anything a child imagines, capes and costumes, rivers and oceans, doll blankets, fort roofs, peekaboo and dance ribbons. Their light, flowing drape is what makes them so open-ended. A single playsilk can be a dozen different things, which is why they suit such a wide age range.

    What's the difference between Playsilks, Mini-Playsilks and Enchanted silks?

    They mainly differ in size and design. Standard Playsilks are large all-purpose squares, Mini-Playsilks are smaller for little hands and doll play, and ranges like Enchanted and Earth feature special dyed patterns. Sizes and designs are listed per product, so you can pick the scale and look you want.

    How do you wash Sarah's Silks?

    Hand-wash play silks in warm water with a little mild soap, such as gentle shampoo or dish soap, then rinse and hang to dry. Avoid harsh detergents, wringing and the machine, which can damage the fibres and colour. Iron on medium to restore the shine. Washed gently, real silk lasts for years.

    What age are play silks suitable for?

    Play silks suit a very wide age range, from babies enjoying supervised peekaboo and sensory play, through to older children creating elaborate dress-ups and small-world scenes. Because they grow with a child's imagination, a set of silks stays in use for many years.
