How is it charged, and is the battery safe?

It charges over the included cable and holds a securely enclosed lithium battery, so there's no loose battery to access. Charging is best done with adult supervision.

Is it a standalone set or an add-on?

Both. The 30 tiles build small lit creations on their own, and the light tile also brings a glow to a bigger Connetix collection when you drop it into a larger build.

Does it connect with other Connetix and Magna-Tiles?

Yes. Every tile clicks onto other Connetix sets and base plates. The tiles also join Magna-Tiles, with slight differences in size and colour tone.

What does it teach?

The light tile turns play into a colour-and-light lab: children explore colour mixing, shadows and reflections through hands-on STEAM play.

Is it safe, and what age is it for?

The tiles and light tile are non-toxic ABS that is BPA, lead and phthalate free, with magnets ultrasonically welded and riveted inside. The rechargeable lithium battery is securely enclosed; charge it with adult supervision. Ages 3+; it has strong magnets and small parts, so keep it from children who mouth toys and seek help if a magnet is swallowed.
