Three different sized squares in eight pastel colours that nest together: large and standard open-frame portal tiles, plus mini-squares with Smart-Spin magnets. The open frames add connection points on inner and outer edges.

What is Smart-Spin technology?

The mini-squares hold magnets that rotate up to 360 degrees inside the tile, so pieces can turn and connect in directions fixed magnets can't. It lets children offset and stagger tiles to build in new ways.

What can children build with portals?

Architectural builds, small worlds, tunnels, flowing patterns and characters. The open-frame portals and spinning minis make windows, passages and moving joints that solid tiles cannot.

Is it a good standalone pack or an add-on?

It works either way. At 48 pieces it builds plenty on its own, and its portals and Smart-Spin minis also add fresh possibilities to an existing Connetix collection.

Does it connect with rainbow Connetix and Magna-Tiles?

Yes. Every piece clicks onto rainbow and pastel Connetix and base plates. They also join Magna-Tiles, with slight differences in size and colour tone.

What does it teach?

The portals and spinning minis push spatial thinking and problem-solving as children test ideas, refine builds and explore structure in new directions.

Is it safe, and what age is it for?

Tiles are non-toxic ABS that is BPA, lead and phthalate free, with magnets ultrasonically welded and riveted inside. Ages 3+; it has strong magnets and small parts, so keep it from children who mouth toys and seek help if a magnet is swallowed.
