Grimm’s Sorting Mushrooms Rainbow

It is a wooden building and sorting game where every mushroom top searches for its matching bottom half. The set includes 12 wooden pieces in six rainbow colours, so children pair tops with bases by colour and shape as they play.

Children match each mushroom cap to the correct base, sorting the pieces by colour to complete the mushrooms. Once assembled the mushrooms also become loose parts for building, stacking and small world scenes alongside other wooden blocks.

The mushrooms are made from maple wood finished with a non-toxic water based colour stain. The smooth wooden pieces show the rainbow colours clearly and are sized for small hands to grasp, turn and fit together during sorting and building.

Each mushroom measures roughly 5.7 cm in height and 3.5 cm across. This chunky size makes the pieces easy for young children to hold and stack, and substantial enough to stand up as figures within block play and pretend scenes.

Grimm's recommends the mushrooms from three years and up. At this stage children can match colours, solve the top and bottom pairings and combine the pieces into more inventive builds, while the wooden pieces remain simple enough for guided play.
