Londji Bam! Animals

It is a set of 16 wooden stamps that print animals like lions, elephants, whales, fish and giraffes. A notebook is included, so children can ink the stamps and fill the pages with their own menagerie of creatures and scenes.

Although they belong with wooden toys for toddlers on the shelf, these stamps are listed for ages five to 105. The stamping action and the small parts suit older children and adults more than very young toddlers, who need close supervision.

The set includes 16 wooden stamps, each carrying a different animal design by Can Seixanta. With a notebook in the box, children can combine the stamps into herds, jungles or oceans limited only by their own imagination.

Each stamp is made from wood with a rubber printing face, a pairing that gives a firm grip and a clean impression. The natural wood handles feel warm in the hand and stand up to plenty of repeated stamping over time.

Each stamp measures about 1.9 by 1.9 cm, a comfortable size for small fingers to press. The sturdy cardboard box is roughly 19 by 19 by 2.8 cm, keeping the stamps and notebook together and easy to store flat on a shelf.

Choosing, inking and pressing the stamps builds fine motor control, sequencing and creativity, since children plan which animals to place and where. Making their own scenes also encourages storytelling and early confidence in their art.

Wipe the rubber faces clean after use and keep the wood dry rather than soaking it. Store the stamps and notebook in the box so nothing goes missing, and the set stays ready for the next round of printing.
