Londji My Big Eye

It is a child sized magnifying glass from Londji with a playful animal illustration. A young explorer can hold it up to leaves, insects or small objects and see them enlarged and up close on a nature hunt.

Unlike a kaleidoscope, which turns a view into repeating patterns, My Big Eye simply magnifies whatever you look at. It is a straightforward lens for looking closely rather than an optical pattern toy.

It is made from cardboard and a mirror, with an illustration by Txell Darne. The light materials keep it easy for a child to carry outdoors when they head into the garden or park to look for bugs.

The magnifier measures 3.5 cm in diameter and 5 cm tall, and weighs about 50 grams. That compact size means it fits in a pocket or small bag for trips to the garden, the park or the beach.

Londji lists it for children aged 3 and older. It contains small parts, so it is not suitable for children under three, and young explorers should use it with an adult nearby.

Point it at flowers, bark, stones or bugs and look through the lens to see the detail up close. It encourages children to slow down and notice small things they would usually walk straight past.
