Londji Observation Puzzle - Discover The World

The set holds five reversible puzzles made of 2, 3, 4, 5 and 10 pieces, so each one is a different level of challenge. Illustrated by Teresa Bellon, they follow Valentina and her friends travelling through space to meet the Earth, the moon and the stars.

They picture a journey across the solar system. Children assemble scenes of planets, stars and the moon, then find a surprise once the pieces come together, since the finished images glow in the dark for a second look at bedtime.

After a puzzle is completed and has caught some light, the printed scene shines softly once the lights go out. This gives children a small reward for finishing and turns a daytime puzzle into a gentle nighttime picture beside the bed.

They suit children from three years old and stay fun right up to 103, as Londji likes to say. The smallest two-piece puzzle helps younger children start, while the ten-piece one gives more practice at matching edges and shapes.

The sturdy cardboard box measures about 19 by 19 by 8 cm and the set weighs around 565 grams. That size stacks neatly on a shelf and keeps the five puzzles sorted between play sessions so pieces stay together.

Fitting the pieces builds observation, hand-eye coordination and patience. Because the puzzles rise from two up to ten pieces, a child can feel steady progress, matching colours and shapes while learning the names of planets in our solar system.

Keep the recycled cardboard pieces dry and away from water, since soaking would warp them. Store them flat in the box after play, and press finished puzzles gently rather than bending the pieces, so the printed scenes stay crisp.
