It has 36 connector squares, 2 double bowls, 6 small turns, 6 U pieces, 8 spirals and 2 X pieces, plus 6 wooden balls and an inspiration book. The spirals, X pieces and double bowls are shapes the original ball run doesn't include.

Is this a standalone ball run or an expansion?

It's an expansion. It carries run pieces and 36 connector squares but not a full set of standard tiles, so pair it with a 92 Piece Ball Run or a Creative Pack for the towers a run drops through.

What do the spirals and X pieces do?

The 8 spirals send balls into looping, eye-tracking descents, and the 2 X pieces let two runs cross or redirect a ball mid-drop. The 2 double bowls give balls a place to collect or race into together.

Does it work with the original Ball Run Pack?

Yes. It's fully compatible with the 92 Piece Ball Run and other Connetix sets, so you can add spirals and crossovers to a run you already own for bigger, more elaborate designs.

What does a Connetix ball run teach?

Building and rebuilding a run is hands-on physics: children test gravity, speed and slope as they add spirals and bends. The tubes also suit sensory play, sorting and mazes beyond racing balls.

Is it safe, and what age is it for?

Tiles are non-toxic ABS that is BPA, lead and phthalate free, with magnets ultrasonically welded and riveted inside. Ages 3+; it has strong magnets and small parts, so keep it from children who mouth toys and seek help if a magnet is swallowed.
