Lubulona Supercars are little wooden racers, inspired by the beauty and power of nature! Each of the four race cars is based on one of these forces of nature: Fire and Water, Lightning and Thunder. Creative, original and loads of fun to play with!

Perfect as addition to your Lubu Town construction sets, but also as a lovely little gift in its own right! The Lubulona range is versatile, creative and combining construction with symbolic play allows children to choose how to play and with what to play. Lubulona’s houses, towns, bridges and trees allow for whole worlds to be built and explored!

Lubulona wooden toys are designed in Barcelona and manufactured entirely in Europe out of high quality beechwood and using environmentally friendly cardboard boxes and fabric bags as packaging.  All Lubulona toys comply with the European standard for toy safety and are CE marked. They only use paint and glue that is EN 71 certified and therefore totally safe to be used for toys, and are dedicated to local manufacturing.

                    The Lightning car is one of four Lubulona Supercars, small wooden racers each built around a force of nature: Fire, Water, Lightning and Thunder. Lightning brings a fast, electric character to the set, giving children a clear personality to base races and stories on.

                    How do the racing wooden cars encourage play?

                    These racing wooden cars are open-ended, so children invent the rules. They can line them up on a shelf, send them down a ramp, stage a championship or use one as a delivery vehicle through a toy town. With no lights or sounds, the storytelling comes entirely from the child.

                    Can I pair Lightning with the other Supercars?

                    Yes. Lightning has a natural partner in the /products/lubulona-supercars-thunder, and the pair is sold together as the /products/lubulona-supcars-pack-thun-light. Adding the Water and Fire racers completes the four forces of nature for a full starting grid.

                    Does the Lightning car fit inside Lubu Town houses?

                    It does. The Supercars share the same scale as the rest of the range, so the Lightning racer can park inside a Lubu Town house and drive along the streets between buildings. It slots straight into sets like the /products/lubulona-town-mega-set.

                    What is the Lightning racer made from?

                    It is shaped from beech wood and made in Europe, with the design coming from Barcelona. The body is small and smooth for easy pushing and gripping. Wipe it with a soft dry cloth to clean it and keep it out of water so the timber lasts.
