What's in the 2 Piece Connetix Car Pack?

One blue and one yellow car motion base with real rubber wheels, plus an idea booklet. It has no tiles of its own; the two bases are what turn your existing tiles into vehicles.

How do the car bases work?

Each base is a wheeled platform that standard tiles clip onto magnetically, so children build a car, truck, bus or space car body on top and roll it along. Any Connetix tiles fit.

Is this a standalone toy or an add-on?

It's an add-on. Because it's just the two bases, pair it with a Creative Pack or Starter Pack for the tiles to build vehicle bodies from.

Do the bases fit tiles from any pack?

Yes. They take standard Connetix squares, rectangles and triangles from any range, so children can rebuild a fresh vehicle from whatever rainbow or pastel tiles they own.

Does it connect with other Connetix and Magna-Tiles?

Yes. The bases work across the Connetix range. Standard tiles also join Magna-Tiles, with slight differences in size and colour tone between brands.

What will children learn with it?

Building vehicles brings in STEAM ideas of wheels, motion, weight and balance as children test which designs roll fastest, and it feeds storytelling and small-world play.

Is it safe, and what age is it for?

Tiles are non-toxic ABS that is BPA, lead and phthalate free, with magnets ultrasonically welded and riveted inside. Ages 3+; it has strong magnets and small parts, so keep it from children who mouth toys and seek help if a magnet is swallowed.
