My son has been playing with these since he was 1 year old. Now he’s 3 and building bigger a better towers and castles with so much pride. My nephew loves them too. They are high quality design, colours and materials. I’ve seen so many of the dupes that don’t compare. These are highly durable, wipeable, the magnets are great and will last the ages. I purchased these when they were on sale but haven't opened them because they are for a Christmas present. Going off our other Connectix Tiles alone, I would highly recommend them. My children first got Connectix when they were 2 and 4 and still play with them regularly years later. I will be saving them for my grandkids to play with in many years' times. 6 large and 36 standard squares in every rainbow colour, with an idea booklet. Squares are the workhorse shape of any build, so this pack adds the pieces towers and walls use most.

Is it a starter pack or an add-on?

Both. At 42 pieces it's a good standalone first pack for gaining confidence with magnetic tiles, and it also tops up an existing collection with the squares bigger builds always run short on.

What can children build with squares?

Tall towers, large rockets, houses, carparks, long roads, expansive ball runs, patterns and mandalas. Extra squares are what let a collection go bigger and taller.

Does it connect with pastel Connetix and Magna-Tiles?

Yes. The squares click onto rainbow and pastel Connetix, ball run squares and base plates. They also join Magna-Tiles, with slight differences in size and colour tone.

What does it teach?

Working with squares builds early geometry and structure sense: children explore area, symmetry and how a wide base steadies a tall build, all through hands-on play.

Is it safe, and what age is it for?

Tiles are non-toxic ABS that is BPA, lead and phthalate free, with magnets ultrasonically welded and riveted inside. Ages 3+; it has strong magnets and small parts, so keep it from children who mouth toys and seek help if a magnet is swallowed.

How fast will it ship?
