Is the Connetix mini pack a good gift or first try?

Yes. At 24 pieces it's an affordable way to try Connetix or to give as a birthday gift, and it drops straight into a bigger collection later. Many families buy it to see if magnetic tiles click with their child.

Is 24 pieces enough to build much?

It's enough for small single builds such as a rocket, an ice-cream, a house or a mandala, and it's easy to take travelling. For taller towers and group builds, pair it with a Starter or Creative pack from the same range.

Does it connect with other Connetix and Magna-Tiles?

Yes. Every mini tile clicks onto other Connetix packs and base plates, so it expands an existing set. The tiles also join Magna-Tiles, with slight differences in size and colour between the brands.

What does it teach?

Even a small set introduces STEAM play: children explore shape, colour, symmetry and magnetism, and build fine motor control as they line up and balance tiles. The clear bevelled tiles also cast colourful light refractions.

What age is it for, and is it safe?

Suitable for ages 3 and up. Tiles are non-toxic ABS that is BPA, lead and phthalate free, with magnets ultrasonically welded and riveted inside. It contains strong magnets and small parts; seek medical help immediately if a magnet is swallowed.
