Frequently Asked Questions

What comes in the rainbow stepping stones and turquoise balance board set?

The set includes six octagon stepping stones in red, orange, yellow, green, dark blue and purple, plus one turquoise balance board with a speckled finish. Together they make a ready-made course for stepping, hopping and rocking.

Why pair the rainbow stones with a turquoise board?

The turquoise board adds a seventh colour that is not in the rainbow set, so it stands out clearly at the end of a stepping path. Children often use it as the finish line or the island of a game, which makes it easy to build stories into a course.

How is the board used in play?

Children can rock on it, roll it, stand and balance on it or turn it into part of a pretend game. Its flower-shaped silhouette and textured grip areas on the bottom and foot contact points help keep it steadier underfoot.

What material are the stones and board made of?

Every piece is moulded from lightweight, robust EPP that is 100 percent recyclable and child-safe. It is free from harmful additives and is waterproof, saliva-proof and bite-proof, so it suits playrooms, classrooms and backyards.

How strong are the pieces?

The stepping stones each support up to 100 kg and the balance board takes 100 kg or more, yet the board weighs about 220 g. That combination keeps the set easy for children to move while standing up to active play.

What age is this set for?

It is suitable for children from 1 year of age. Toddlers start with simple stepping close to the floor, while older children build longer trails, stack the stones and use the board for harder balance challenges.

Are Funova stepping stones and boards safety tested?

Yes. Funova products are tested for safety and comply with AS/NZS ISO 8124, the Australian and New Zealand safety standard for toys. Supervise young children during play and set the course on a flat surface.
