Frequently Asked Questions

What comes in the Funova pastel stepping stones and balance beam set?

The set combines six octagon stepping stones in red, orange, yellow, green, light blue and pink with Funova's three-piece modular plywood balance beam. Children can lay the stones out as a path and link them with the beams to build bridges and balance courses.

How does the pastel set differ from the rainbow version?

Both sets use the same three-piece balance beam. The rainbow version comes with dark blue and purple stones, while this set swaps those for light blue and pink, giving a softer palette that sits quietly in a bedroom, nursery or living space.

How do children use the beams with the stones?

The beam ends sit over the stepping stones, so each beam spans the gap between two stones. Children can arrange the three beams in a line, an angle or spread apart, which changes the length and difficulty of the course every time they rebuild it.

What are the stones and beams made from?

The stepping stones are 100 percent recyclable, child-safe EPP that is bite-proof and waterproof, with a grippy micro-textured surface. The beams are high-quality, sustainable plywood with smooth, rounded edges and a child-safe finish.

How much weight do the stepping stones support?

Each stepping stone supports up to 100 kg, which gives plenty of strength for hopping, stepping and group play. Placing the stones on a level floor before adding the beams keeps every bridge steady underfoot.

What can children learn from this set?

Walking the beams and hopping across the stones builds balance, coordination and gross motor skills. Designing new layouts adds problem-solving, and the six colours are useful for colour games and pretend play such as river crossings or lily pads.

Are Funova products safety tested?

Yes. Funova products are tested for safety and comply with AS/NZS ISO 8124, the Australian and New Zealand safety standard for toys. As with any active play, supervise children while they balance and keep the course clear of furniture.
