Frequently Asked Questions

Who are the Kind Folks wooden Christmas decorations?

They are three small wooden characters, each with its own painted face and expression. One wears a striped green and blue hat, one a wide yellow hat and one a multicoloured spotted cap, and each is finished with little wooden beads above and below the head.

How big is each figure?

Each character is approximately 68mm tall, not counting the cord loop. That is a good size for a standard Christmas tree branch, a wreath or a garland, and small enough to tie onto a wrapped present without weighing it down.

Can they be used as gift toppers?

Yes. Thread the cord loop through the ribbon on a parcel and the ornament becomes a second small present that can go straight onto the recipient's own tree. It is a simple way to make wrapping part of the gift instead of something that ends up in the bin.

What materials does Grapat use?

The figures are made of wood, coloured with water-based dyes and finished with vegetable waxes and oils, with natural cord for hanging. Much of the wood grain is left visible between the painted areas, which gives the faces and hats a soft, handmade look.

What age are they recommended for?

The recommended age is 3 years and up. They include small wooden beads and are intended as decorations, so for households with toddlers it makes sense to hang them out of easy reach and supervise any handling.

Is this part of a collection?

Kind Folks is number 8 in Grapat's 2026 ornament series and sits alongside Pure Shine No9. Each numbered box has a different theme and illustrated cover, so many families add one or two each year and build up a mixed display over time.

How should I look after them?

Dust them gently with a soft dry cloth and avoid soaking them, since water can mark painted wood. Between seasons, store them in the illustrated presentation box in a dry cupboard so the faces and hats stay bright.
