Frequently Asked Questions

What is Grapat Lucky Lucky 5th edition?

It is a small sealed blind box containing one surprise set of hand-painted wooden pieces. There are 15 different sets in this edition, and you will not know which one you have until the box is opened, which is what makes collecting and swapping them fun.

Which sets can be inside the box?

The 15 sets are Red Yellow Blue, Among Calendulas, Three in the Water, Summer Tree, Cat and Mouse Chase, Tumble and Fall, Raspberry Friends, The Shepherd, Stacking Homes, King Autumn, Balance and Fall, Little Sprouts, Boo in the Dark, The Fisherman and The Honey Gatherer.

Does one purchase include all 15 sets?

No. Each purchase is a single sealed box with one set inside, chosen at random. Collectors usually buy several boxes and trade any doubles with friends or family to fill the gaps in their collection.

How do children play with the pieces?

Once the surprise is over, the pieces become open ended loose parts. Children use them for small world scenes, storytelling, sorting by colour and stacking, and many sets have a clear theme, such as two little stacking houses or a ghost and a pumpkin, that sparks a story on its own.

What age is it suitable for?

Grapat recommends Lucky Lucky for children aged 36 months and over. The sets contain small parts, so they are not suitable for children under 3 and should be kept away from babies and toddlers who still put toys in their mouths.

What are the pieces made from?

They are cut from sustainably sourced wood and coloured by hand with natural, child-safe dyes. The finish leaves the wood grain visible, so the pieces feel warm and slightly textured rather than glossy.

Can Lucky Lucky pieces be mixed with other Grapat toys?

Yes. The figures share the same style as Grapat's Nins, mandala pieces and other loose parts, so they slot easily into existing play scenes. Pieces from earlier Lucky Lucky editions also combine well if your family has been collecting for a few years.
