Frequently Asked Questions

What comes in the Santa is Coming set?

You get two metal tins: a tall round tin with a Christmas scene of Santa, his sleigh and reindeer, and a smaller oval tin with a teal pattern. The oval tin nests inside the larger one, so they store as a single piece.

How big is the larger Maileg tin?

The set measures about 20 cm high, 16 cm wide and 16 cm deep, with a net weight of around 470 grams. There is room inside for a stack of Christmas cards, wrapped treats or a string of fairy lights.

What can I store in them?

Many families use the large tin for wrapped sweets and the small one for gift tags, tree hooks or spare baubles. Out of season they hold craft supplies, hair ties or small toys.

Do they work as a gift?

Fill the big tin with treats and the small one with a little surprise, and the present is already wrapped. The tins stay useful long after the contents are gone.

How should I clean them?

Wipe with a soft damp cloth and dry thoroughly to protect the metal and the printed artwork. Do not soak the tins or put them in the dishwasher.

Will they look good on display?

The illustrated round tin is tall enough to stand on a sideboard, shelf or Christmas table as a decoration in its own right. Many people bring it out each December along with the rest of their decorations.
