Frequently Asked Questions

What pattern is on the Blossom Blue Maileg tin?

The sliding lid and base are covered in a dense vintage-inspired floral print, with cream blossoms over the whole tin. It makes a pretty piece for a dressing table, a nursery shelf or a child's treasure drawer.

How much does it hold?

It measures about 9.5 cm by 6 cm with a depth of 1.5 cm, so it holds small, flat items. Think rings and necklaces, hair clips, a few stickers, notes or tiny doll accessories.

Would it suit a tooth fairy or keepsake box?

Many parents use a small tin like this to keep special mementoes such as a first lost tooth, a hospital band or tiny notes. Its sliding lid stays closed in a drawer, so little items do not spill out.

Can I put a gift card inside?

Yes, a gift card or folded handwritten message fits neatly. It makes a small present feel more special and gives the recipient a reusable tin for their own treasures.

How do I clean the tin?

It is surface wash only. Use a soft cloth that is barely damp, then dry the metal straight away. Avoid soaking it, which can mark the metal and fade the floral print over time.

How heavy is it?

It weighs about 30 grams, so it is easy for children to carry and open on their own. The sliding lid is simple to use and needs no clips or hinges that could break.
