What comes in the Rainbow Sky play silks marker set?

The set pairs our Rainbow Sky Coloring Balloon Ball with a pack of 12 rainbow coloured markers. The mulberry silk cover is left ready to decorate, so a child can colour their own design first and then slip an inflated balloon inside to bring the artwork to life.

What are the markers made from?

The 12 markers are non toxic and water based, chosen so children can colour the silk safely. We suggest laying paper underneath the cover while colouring, which stops any colour from bleeding through onto the table and keeps your surface clean.

How large is the balloon ball once inflated?

The finished ball measures roughly 10 inches across when the balloon inside is fully inflated. The silk stretches to fit, giving a soft, light ball that drifts on a gentle toss and is easy for little ones to catch and carry around.

Is a balloon included in the set?

Yes. One balloon is included so the ball is ready to play straight away. Once it wears out you can pop a fresh balloon inside the decorated silk cover, and the child's coloured design carries on into plenty more rounds of play.

What is the balloon cover made from?

The cover is hand sewn from 100 percent pure mulberry silk in our Rainbow Sky design. The natural fabric softens the balloon's surface and adds a little weight, so it moves slowly and gently and has been a favourite at our play dates.

Can the coloured design be washed off?

Because the markers are water based, colours may soften with washing, so many families treat each decoration as a fresh creation to enjoy and then redraw. If you do wash the silk, hand wash gently in warm water and hang it to dry.
