    Play silks offer gentle sensory play — soft texture, movement and colour to watch, feel and grasp. Peekaboo games build early object permanence and connection, and because a silk is so open-ended, it stays useful for years as your baby grows into pretend play.

    How do you use play silks with a baby?

    Use them for supervised sensory and peekaboo play — drape a silk over your face or a toy and reveal it, trail it gently for your baby to watch and grasp, or let them feel the texture. Keep sessions short and always stay right beside your baby.

    How do you wash play silks?

    Hand-wash play silks in cool water with a little gentle soap, then lay flat or hang to dry — avoid hot water, wringing and the machine, which damage the fibres and colour. Gentle care keeps real silk soft and bright as it's used for years.

    Are play silks safe for a baby?

    Only with close supervision. As with any large fabric, keep draping play watched so a silk is never left near a baby's face or in the cot. Used with a parent for supervised peekaboo and sensory play, silks are a lovely open-ended baby toy.
