Grapat Coloured Mates 6 Pieces

The set includes 6 small wooden cups, sometimes called gourds, in rainbow colours. With one cup in each shade, children can sort and match by colour, line them up as a rainbow and use them for stacking, nesting and simple counting games.

Mates are small wooden cups that measure about 4.5 cm in height. They are open at the top, so children can pop small figures in and out, stack them into towers, nest them together or turn them over to cover and hide other pieces.

The cups are made in a small family run workshop in Catalonia, Spain, using mostly beech and birch wood from local sustainable forests. They are finished with water based, non toxic dyes and vegetable oils, and come in eco friendly packaging.

Store the cups in a dry place, stacked or in a bowl so they stay together. To clean, wipe them with a damp cloth and dry immediately. Do not soak the wood in water or wash it in a dishwasher, as moisture can damage the colour and finish.
