Sarah's Silks Enchanted Playsilks

They are 100% real silk squares, hand-painted and measuring 90 by 90 cm. A basketful invites open-ended play, becoming water for a sailboat, floor fire to cook over, a cape for dress-up or a flag tied to a stick. Children find their own uses far beyond that list.

Each Enchanted silk is hand-painted using eco-friendly, non-toxic dye. Because the painting is done by hand, the colors blend a little differently on every silk, so no two are identical. The colorways include Starry Night, Fire, Blossom, Sea and Rainbow, each with its own multi-tone look.

They lend themselves to open-ended, imaginative games. Children drape them as water to sail across, lay them as fire to cook over, wear them as capes, or tie them to a stick as a flag. The same silk shifts role from one day to the next, following wherever the child's story goes.

Each Enchanted Playsilk measures 90 by 90 cm, a large square with room to wrap and drape. The colorways are Starry Night, Fire, Blossom, Sea and Rainbow. Unlike single-color silks, these carry blended, multi-tone painting, so each one reads as a small painted scene.

Hand-wash the silks and hang them to dry. Use cool water with a mild soap, avoid wringing, and keep them out of direct sun so the hand-painted color stays vibrant. If they crease, a medium iron will smooth the silk and bring back its natural shine.

Plain silks are dyed a single shade, while the Enchanted silks are hand-painted with several blended colors across one square. That gives colorways like Starry Night and Fire a scenic, layered look. Both types are 100% silk and work the same way in open-ended play.
