The set has 15 Bitcoin Windows, each a beech wooden frame holding a see-through coloured gem, so light passes right through. They measure 5 x 5 x 2.5cm and come presented in a wooden tray made of beech with a plywood base.

As loose parts toys the Bitcoin Windows double as stacking blocks with a little extra sparkle. Children stack and line them up, hold them to the light to see the colours glow, and combine them freely with other blocks to build and sort.

The frames are made from beech and hold see-through coloured gems, and the tray is beech with a plywood base. They are not felt or plain wooden blocks; the see-through panels are what let light shine through for the window effect.

They are sized to fit the Bauspiel Colour Street blocks, and work alongside Papoose Lucite pieces and wooden shapes. You can frame them with the Dutch Step Gables Windows or mix them with the Bright Lucite Cubes.

Yes. Because each gem is see-through, they glow on a light table or a sunny windowsill and cast coloured light and shadow. In ordinary daylight they still stack and build like solid blocks, so they suit both kinds of play well.

Occasional small specks or marks on the gems are considered normal and are a sign of the handwork involved in making them. They do not happen often and do not reduce the play value, so treat them as part of the handmade character.

Wipe each piece and the tray with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry them straight away, keeping the beech wood out of standing water. Careful, gentle cleaning keeps the gems clear so light continues to pass through cleanly.
