The set has 44 wooden discs covering all the signs of the alphabet in Auslan, plus commonly used words such as please, no and happy. One side of each disc shows the sign and the other shows the matching letter or word, so children can check themselves as they learn. The set comes in a drawstring bag.

The discs offer a fun, hands-on way to encourage children to learn sign language. Because each disc pairs a sign with its letter or word, children can copy the sign, then flip the disc to confirm what it means. This makes practising Auslan playful and builds confidence as they go.

Each disc is made from FSC beech wood and measures 5cm in diameter, a comfortable size for small hands. Wipe the discs with a dry or lightly damp cloth and return them to the drawstring bag after play, so the full 44 disc set stays together and ready to use.

Try signing a letter or word, then asking your child to find the matching disc, or take turns copying a sign and checking the reverse. Learning a few discs at a time, starting with useful words, keeps practice short and rewarding and helps the whole family pick up basic Auslan together.
