Look for short, cooperative games without reading. They're a lovely screen-free way to play together as your preschooler learns to win and lose gracefully.

    How do I make puzzles more challenging as my child grows?

    Increase the piece count gradually and move from knob puzzles to flat jigsaws, then to floor puzzles and themed sets. Remove the picture guide occasionally, or mix two puzzles together for a harder sort. Stepping the difficulty up slowly keeps a preschooler stretched without tipping into frustration.
